Each of My Recess Therapy’s locations is set up like a home, so your family will feel comfortable and relaxed while you embark on your therapy journey.

Our Elgin location at 2018 Larkin Avenue is filled with sensory gym fun and several private rooms for individual and focused therapy.

LOBBY: The lobby features cozy chairs and a private playroom for little ones. Resource guides and flyers from our Partners in Care are sprinkled throughout the lobby to keep you informed about local fun and resource information.

SENSORY GYM: Our sensory gym is designed to appeal to kids of all ages. Our equipment meets all sensory needs and focuses on all stages of development while challenging children of all ages.

PRIVATE ROOMS: Each private room allows for focused and Individual therapy time and provides a location to chat with families about their child’s needs and progress during parent empowerment sessions.

KITCHEN: Our kitchen is equipped with basic cooking equipment to support activities of daily living (hand washing, cleaning, cooking) as well as address feeding concerns, including limited diet, sensory aversions to food, and feeding and swallowing development.

YOGA ROOM: Our Yoga Room is a low-stimulation room with low lighting, comfy spots, and space to move about. It is used for our social classes and as a space to calm and relax during challenging days.

MINI GARDEN: We have a mini garden in our Elgin location, which allows for outdoor fun in the spring and summer. My Recess kiddos can grow and care for veggies and play in the dirt.
