Occupational Therapist
My therapeutic philosophy is to support children where they’re at, follow their lead, and support children to develop the skills they need to participate in play, school, and other everyday activities.
In addition to working at My Recess Therapy, she also works in school-based practice with primarily preschool-age children with Autism.
Credentials and Certifications
Kristine received her Occupational Therapy Doctorate from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL. She also received a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science and Psychology and a Minor in Medical Humanities from Elmhurst University (formerly Elmhurst College).
Kristine has additional training in child-led and play-based practices such as PLAY Project, Sensory Integration, Size Matters Handwriting Program, and oculomotor skills and their impact on fine motor and visual motor skills. She is also in the process of completing the Certification in Ayres Sensory Integration through CLASI and certification through the STAR Institute for Sensory Processing.
